Admission · Written English examination
Applicants without evidence of English proficiency
Applicants whose English proficiency is not evidenced by the certificate required in the call take a written examination, graded on a scale from 0 to 10, under Article 5 of the MSc Regulation (Greek).
Professor Kyriaki Kitikidou is responsible for organising, conducting and grading the examination from the 2026–2027 admissions procedure onwards, under the Department Assembly decision of 25 September 2026 (meeting 4; notification ΔΠΘ/ΤΔΠΦΠ/6248/216 of 29 September 2026).
The date, time and participation instructions will be communicated in good time to the applicants who need to take the examination. Contact: kkitikid@fmenr.duth.gr.
The online practice sample is optional preparation. Its score is not an admission score or a language certificate; its ten questions and suggested twenty minutes do not determine the format or duration of the official examination.
1. Check eligibility and study requirements
First-cycle higher-education graduates from all subject areas may apply, subject to the eligibility rules in the call. Check the curriculum, language requirements, attendance and traineeship arrangements before submitting.
The English website and this guide provide programme information for international readers. They do not establish a separate English-taught route. Admission requires sufficient knowledge of English. Foreign applicants must also provide the Greek-language certificate specified in the call unless they completed secondary education in Greece or at a Greek-language school abroad. Contact the Secretariat about teaching and assessment language arrangements before applying.
2. Download the call and official application form

3. Prepare the supporting documents
- Completed application form (Greek DOC).
- First-cycle degree and academic transcript; the Secretariat checks the relevant DOATAP registers for foreign institutions and award types.
- Copy of identity card or passport.
- For applicants whose first degree is still pending: the declaration specified in the call and the required degree/transcript before enrolment.
- Evidence of English proficiency accepted under the call. Applicants without a certificate are assessed through a written English examination, scored from 0 to 10.
- Greek-language certificate for foreign applicants where required, subject to the secondary-education exemption.
- Full CV documenting education, research and professional experience, and publications.
- Any existing postgraduate degree and evidence of a relevant undergraduate dissertation/project, where applicable.
- Evidence of relevant research or professional experience, stating its duration, and copies or links and full details of relevant publications.
- For eligible DUTH staff applying for supernumerary admission: the staff certificate and declaration required by the call.
- Any additional documents supporting the qualifications claimed in the application.
4. Submission procedure in the published call
Email the completed application and supporting evidence to otemperi@affil.duth.gr. The published application period was 2 June–30 September 2026 and has ended. Follow the full call for document requirements and conditional applications before graduation. A request for information does not replace this formal submission.
5. Follow the selection and enrolment announcements
Assessment is scheduled for the first ten days of October 2026. A provisional ranking and objection period precede the approved final ranking. Successful applicants must confirm acceptance and complete enrolment within the Secretariat’s deadlines.
Tuition and questions
Total tuition is €1,800 in three instalments of €600. The English Study Guide explains payment timing, fee exemptions and the excellence award. For clarification, email the Secretariat at otemperi@affil.duth.gr.
